Charity Group meeting – Feb

On Thursday 9th Feb we held our monthly meeting, this was our first meeting since you all filled in our active activities survey – so we had quite a bit to discuss.

You will be hearing in more detail over the next few weeks about our plans, but here is an overview, and we need your help!

Valentines raffle

This is being held on Monday – you still have time to buy tickets from our SHU online store, or in person from Grazina, Karen Marsden or Gemma.

To see our 4 great prizes click here.

World Book Day

world book day

This year World Book Day is on 2nd March and is celebrating turning 20. We thought it would be great if we join the kids and dress up as famous book characters, hold a book swap and eat cake!

If you are happy to bring in cake for the bake sale please let Grazina know, or comment below.

We will be sharing more information about the day next week here on the blog.

Coast 2 Coast spin challenge

coast2coast We got our heads together about our Coast 2 Coast spin challenge on Tuesday March 21st. We will be sharing a rota on the next few weeks for those wanting to get involved, if you didn’t get round to completing the survey and would like to get involved, you still can – just let one of us know.

Car Boot sale

Following the success of our Christmas stall we are hoping to take part in a University car boot sale at Easter. We have storage space in 1:11 so if you have anything you are wanting to get rid of, please bring it in. We are after the same items as last time:

Books, Cd’s, DVDs, Toys, Games, Homeware, Unused/unopened bath stuff and gift sets – just no clothes.

Sheffield Round Walk

We are definitely going to go ahead with this on a Saturday in May/June – watch this space!

Survey results

We were over the moon with the response to our survey, thank you to those of you who took the time to complete it. For those activities we haven’t mentioned yet (3 peaks and peak district challenge) we are still to discuss them – but we will be in touch if you thought you were interested.

Thanks

Grazina, Gemma, Jo, Karen, Liz and Vic
