LICC (further info)

The Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations were introduced on 6 April 2005 and apply to businesses with 50 or more employees. The University has an overall ICC (which was requested by our employees) and then a lot of Directorates and Faculties followed suit with their own Local ICCs.  This ACAS article about Information and Consultation Committees gives the legal background to it.
