Hello and Happy New Year, and welcome to the first ‘The Friday Feeling’ of 2017.

Opening my new calendar to Erica’s wintery scene made the first day back brighter for me!

Our VC Chris Husbands also has our Finance calendar and sent Simon the following note:

“Thank you so much for the FIN calendar – I had a copy of last year’s and it is a real joy with some very impressive shots – thank you. Do pass on my thanks and congratulations to the photographers”

Don’t forget if you are out and about to take some landscape photos for the 2018 competition.

Give it up January

The Charity Group are kicking off the new year with a bang and are encouraging you to ‘Give it up’. You may have already decided you were going to give up the Hallam scones (me), or you could be thinking about bringing in your lunch instead of buying it everyday – whatever it may be you can also help Amy’s House by doing it.

For the month of January donate the money you save to Amy’s House via our justgiving site or the penny jars in your area.

Let us know what you are planning on giving up and in return get the encouragement from us all to help you do it!

Our LICC are holding a coffee morning next Thursday, they will be sending you all an invite next week.

We have submitted the Finance strategy feedback from you all to the University Leadership Team, we will share a summary of what was sent with you next week.

As finalists in the UK Employee Engagement Awards we are allowed to use their logo on our email signatures. If you haven’t had chance to add it yet, here is a reminder on how to do it.

Highlight, right click, copy this picture:

Click on “options”
Click on “signatures” (third option from the top)
Click into the second box (it says edit signature)
Right click, and paste
Click OK
Click OK
