Strategy
We discussed the university’s new strategy at the last coffee morning and received a lot of feedback from across the directorate. Your thoughts and opinions were shared and discussed with the LICC’s members on 21st December 2016. Simon and Robert are planning an all-directorate communication in the new year to address all of the questions that were collected at the coffee morning along with a general overview of the feedback that was collated from team meetings.
LICC New Webpages
As you are all aware, we have been working on re-designing the LICC webpages to make them more user-friendly, engaging and interactive. We are very happy to announce that the newly designed webpages will be launched in the new year. The webpages will be aided with weekly updates on the blog from your LICC Staff Representatives (where appropriate). The LICC members have also approved a new LICC Staff Representatives Pledge, which is designed to give you a flavour of what we can help you with:
“To provide a channel for two-way communication that supports you and gives you an opportunity to voice your opinions on key issues affecting you and our directorate.”
Drop-in Sessions
Your LICC Staff Representatives are planning to hold weekly drop-in sessions from the beginning of 2017 for you to raise issues that are important to you. These will be pre-booked, one to one sessions with a staff representative of your choosing. Each week, a representative will be available for one-to-one discussions in the Post Office over a lunch hour (day and time to be confirmed). You will be able to book in 15 minutes slots with a staff representative, during which time you can discuss confidential issues or voice your opinion on coffee morning items if you did not feel comfortable doing so in front of others. More details on the drop-in sessions, times available and booking system will be available on the new LICC webpages in the new year.
Finally….
Your LICC Staff Representatives would like to thank you for a great year. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Very Happy New Year with your families and loved ones.
