On Wednesday we had our all Finance team brief and annual Christmas buffet where indeed we did, ‘Eat, Drink and be Merry’.

We started the day with an opportunity to mix with our colleagues in BIS, SPI, RM&BC and E&D with some drinks and festive treats before being introduced to Deborah Harry our new CFPO.

We got to find out a bit more about Deborah and her background – you can see her slides again here. 

Simon and Robert then reviewed our year for us – if you would like to watch this again you can find the presentation here. 

This was followed by a video with comments about us from all our stakeholders for each team, including videos for us made by Amy’s House and our VC. If you would like to watch this again you can do so here. 

We then headed over to 1:11 for some buffet and Christmas tunes – followed by a Christmas Quiz by quizzy rascal Lorna.

Following a tie-break situation between Directorates, D&S and Service Improvement – Directorates managed to get closest to guessing how far it is from Sheffield to Lapland (2,180 miles if you were wondering). Directorates Management Accounts team got the (imaginary) crown of Finance Christmas Quiz champions 2016!

Emma also announced our Christmas Jumper winner which was Grazina from ACES MA team – for her amazing Christmas elf dress.  It was a hard choice though as so many of you had made a very festive effort!
