The Engagement working group is now One!

This past year has been a great year and the changes we have seen in the Directorate wouldn’t have been possible without this group being in place.  It has been a fantastic forum of discussion, bringing together the whole Directorate and views from each team, enabling people to build relationships with people that before they couldn’t have picked out from a line-up!

And with that it seemed appropriate in our last meeting to reflect on the past year and have a think about what the group should look like for the next year.

As part of that chat we decided we wanted others out there in Team Finance to have the opportunity to be part of the group and become the engagement champion for your team.

If you are still a little bit unsure we do have a buddy system which allows champions to bring someone else from their team along to the meeting. Our next meeting is on 26^th September so please feel free to let me or your champion know if you fancy coming and I can send you the invite.

Here are some useful facts about the working group that may help your decision:

• You get the opportunity to make sure the voice of your team is heard
• You will get to mix with colleagues from areas of the Directorate you may not usually interact with
• In terms of your time meetings are monthly and take about an hour and a half. Occaisionally there are followup actions which just involve having discussions with your team in your team meeting and collating their feedback
• It was proposed that from February next year members of the working group will team up to chair the meeting
• You can bring a buddy from your team, or you can come along as a buddy yourself if you would rather
