Facebook and Chocolate Houses

Dear Team Finance,

A quick update from the Charity team to let you know that we now have a Facebook Group

The purpose of this page is to promote fundraising activities and donation links to a wider network of friends and family. The group is public, so please feel free to invite friends to join the group. The page currently has links to our easyfundraising and easysearch sites, so hopefully we can get more people using these resources.

We will also be putting links to Justgiving pages, a calendar of events activities and event reminders on the page.

Those of you that don’t use Facebook will definitely not be left out, we will still be using the finance blog and email for activities, news and reminders, this is just to reach a wider audience.

Through a combination of easysearch and easyfundraising, you have raised £3.96 since 1^st July. It’s early days, but pennies really do make pounds, so please use them if you can. (Easyfundraising has an app for you mobile shoppers!)

Also, we will have a chocolate house on display at the Office Olympic kick-off on Friday 5^th August, courtesy of the very talented Karen Marsden. It will be filled with sweeties and we invite you to pay a £1 and guess how many are in there – the closest wins the house! This creation will be an ‘Amy’s House’ but previous examples include:
