I’m really pleased to let you know that with a lot of very hard work from Kelly, Antonia and Gill we have now completed our work on the Finance Document Library, two days earlier than originally planned!

What is the Library for?
The Document Library brings together the definitive versions of the Directorate’s key externally facing documents in to a central depository.  These are documents that are on the Finance Intranet, SHUSpace or the SHU Internet.

The library will assist the Directorate to:

• meet its governance responsibilities
• ensure clarity and consistency of approach when submitting, reviewing or changing key Finance documents
• achieve its Vision of becoming the “Best Finance Directorate in the sector; A highly motivated, engaged team, valued by all.,

In a nutshell, we now know where the latest versions of our key documents are and robust processes have been put in place to ensure that they are reviewed regularly and consistently.

Can I view the Library?
Absolutely!

Everything you need to know about the Document Library is now on the Staff Only section of the Finance Intranet.  This page contains information about the Library’s processes and procedures and provides a direct link to the alphabetised list of documents.

What’s next?
The next task is to formally review the 12 documents that are currently overdue for review.  Kelly, Antonia and Gill will be working with the document owners to take them through the new process.
