Document Library – The half way point!

What have we been doing since the last update?

  • We have finished populating the Library with all the key externally facing Finance Policies, Procedures and Regulations and have identified all of the owners for these documents.
  • A set of procedures have been written which outline the purpose of the Document Library, define the type of documents that are kept in it and the processes for adding/changing or reviewing documents.
  • Change Assessments have been completed for just over 50% of the documents in the Library.  The Assessments look at each section of the document and considers the impact on teams within finance should something in that document change, thus allowing us to proactively manage changes if and when they arise.  This is an example of a Change Assessment for the Staff Expenses Policy.

Is the Document Library on target for meeting its deadline of 12 February 2016?

Yes!  We set ourselves a deadline of the 27th November to complete 50% of the work and I’m pleased to say that we met that deadline (and have even done a little more than 50%).

What’s next?

We will continue to populate the Change Assessments (this is the bulk of the work) and will design a Change Summary template which will be used to summarise changes to documents to aid communication.
