The first Services and Future Improvements workshop was held with Purchase Ledger on 18th August. Big THANKS to Purchase Ledger for making this such an enjoyable and productive workshop.

This high energy, two hour workshop produced some fantastic content, summarised below.

In the last few weeks, I have met with approximately 20 of Purchase Ledger’s stakeholders to get their views of finance processes, systems, communications, training and customer service.  During these meetings I have received some great feedback about the service provided by not only Purchase Ledger, but also by the Sales Ledger Commercial team and DAS and HWB Management Accounts.  A few of the suggested improvements are:

  • provide stakeholders with one key contact within the directorate
  • improve the ‘contact us’ page on the intranet (similar to HR’s)
  • rename some of fields on the e5 Purchasing and Authorisation portal to make them less ‘financey’
  • digitise some of our form based processes e.g. Ad-hoc payments.

Now comes the lengthy task of typing everything up!   Watch this space……
