You may be aware that its University Mental Health Day on Thursday 5 March 2020. We are running a number of activities on the day (and throughout March) for staff and students. A timetable for you to share will be available soon. There are also couple of ways to get involved:
Local activities
If you are planning to do anything locally (on the day or during March) and you would like it to be on the timetable, please let me know (if all staff are invited).
Stories
Our theme on the day is “Where do you go?” – this is about do you know what Hallam support service to contact if you want to support yourself / a member of staff / a student? We are using this as an opportunity to talk about what’s on offer to staff and students. If you have any stories of your experiences, please write something and send it to me (approx. 50 – 150 words). I will then be creating a collage of anonymous stories to share on the day. Examples could be:
- Your experience of using a university support service
- Your experience of supporting a staff/student to use a university support service
- Your experience of using something on the wellbeing site
- Your experience of attending a workshop / mental health training session
- Any other experience you would like to share that you think is relevant to this topic
