You need it to get in to the libraries, halls of residence and many other University services and facilities. It&#8217;s also your membership card for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hallamunion.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hallam Union<\/a> and the National Union of Students (NUS).\u00a0 You will also need your SHUcard to <a href=\"https:\/\/students.shu.ac.uk\/shuspacecontent\/assessment\/id-required-exams\">gain entry into exams<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Flexible top-ups<\/strong> \u2013 online or at SHUcard top up points on campus. You can also set up a guest account allowing your family or friends to top up on your behalf.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Save time<\/strong> \u2013 it takes less than a second to pay with your SHUcard.<\/li>\n<li><strong>View your balances<\/strong> \u2013 use the online portal to view your balance, loyalty points and details of your most recent transactions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Peace of mind<\/strong> \u2013 if you lose your SHUcard you can block your account. Your balance and loyalty points will then work with your replacement card.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Carry less cash and plastic<\/strong> \u2013 you have little or no need to carry them on campus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your on-campus reward card<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your SHUcard is also the most convenient and rewarding way to pay for goods and services on campus, including your <a href=\"https:\/\/students.shu.ac.uk\/shuspacecontent\/it\/pay-printing\">printing<\/a>.
