Professional Development Planning using the Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF)

14 November 2019 @ 11:00 - 12:00

As part of the RF1 (or equivalent) process, new doctoral researchers at Sheffield Hallam University are required to confirm they have undertaken a Development Needs Analysis. This must be done on the Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) Planner and the ‘My Actions’ and ‘My Action Plan’ reports must be attached to your RF1 (or equivalent) application.

This classroom session is designed to introduce researchers to the importance of Professional Development Planning and how to undertake a Development Needs Analysis using the Vitae RDF.

The Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) is a professional development framework for researchers that describes the knowledge, behaviours and attributes of successful researchers. The RDF Planner is an online application that can be used to identify strengths, action plan, review achievements and create a portfolio of evidence.
