Doctoral Skills Workshop – Critical Writing for your Doctorate

Would you like to know how to demonstrate doctoral level criticality in your writing? We will look at the stylistic choices that illustrate your own voice in writing, how to use critical writing effectively, and how to develop different argument structures. Relevant for all doctoral students.

In this session, we will:

• explore how critical writing at doctoral level differs from undergraduate writing;
• compare different forms of critique;
• identify key strategies and stylistic devices for building voice into doctoral writing.
