METHOD 2022: CCRI Postgraduate Research Conference

21 September 2022 @ 09:00 - 22 September 2022 @ 18:00

Registration for the CCRI PGR METHOD 2022 conference is now open.  The conference will be taking place online via Zoom on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 September.

About METHOD 2022
Since 2015, the CCRI Postgraduate Research Team has delivered an annual conference for PGRs and Early Career Researchers on the alternating themes of research METHOD and research IMPACT, offering a supportive environment to practice conference presentation and try out new ideas.  METHOD 2022 seeks to get inside the complexity, creativity, difficulty, and reality of research to develop a critical understanding of research process and the generation of new insight. This year we have over twenty presentations from the Arts & Humanities postgraduate research community, grouped into four key themes:

  • Constructing the object of research
  • Methods for eliciting participant data
  • Interpretation
  • Representing place and experience

There will also be several staff reflections on aspects of their research process, successes, and challenges.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and we anticipate the papers will be of particular interest to PGRs and ECRs from any discipline who are using or are interested in learning more about creative practice-based research, social science influenced and/or qualitative modes of research.

The programme for the conference will be confirmed in due course. If you would like to attend, please contact culture-creativity-pgr@shu.ac.uk to request the password to register for this event if you are a SHU staff member or student and have not received the password.
