The Writing Feedback Group is run by postgraduate students on a monthly basis and aims to provide constructive, but friendly, feedback in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere (we often share a cake to sweeten the session!).  Two people usually submit 1 piece of writing each (approx 2,000 words each) a week before the session, and everyone in the group provides them with feedback on their chosen elements of their submission.  During the sessions there is space to ask for clarifications or have informal discussions.  Students have been submitting a variety of writing eg sections of articles, reports for supervisors, sections of chapters or conference papers.  Anyone is welcome to attend – please contact Katrina Fleming for further information on dates, locations and times.

Next Session:

Thursday 20 February 2020

Following the success of the previous sessions,  Katrina is pleased to announce the next writing retreat day.  It will take place on Thursday 20 February with a prompt start at 09:00 (please arrive no later than 08:55) and closing reflections 16:45-17:00.

Please find the proposed plan attached (within which there is a link to the lunch menu) and, if you decide to take part, please let me know your choice for lunch by Monday 17 February at the latest as I need to notify the cafe.  The cost of lunch will have to be paid by yourself.  The maximum number of places is capped at 15 to ensure we have enough comfortable space to write.

If you book a place but your plans change, please contact Katrina promptly so she can allocate the space to someone else.
