Don’t forget you should now be creating your course welcome schedule for new students. All essential sessions need to be added to the schedule. Your course administrators will upload schedules to the Hallam Welcome Blog.

In addition to your video you may be planning to deliver additional content in welcome week, you can find lots of different examples of icebreakers and fun activities to include on the Hallam Welcome academic resources SharePoint site. Remember it’s recommended to deliver these sessions live!
Your Hallam Welcome Module.
Students have been able to access their Hallam Welcome pre-arrival module from the 21st December which provided key information on university life, Sheffield, wellbeing, finance and study at Hallam. Take a look at the promo video!
Hallam Welcome Week Activities.
From the 18th December, students will have seen the Hallam Welcome week non-essential activities e.g. Students’ Union and Sports schedules. Students can view all virtual sessions and book for each of these events once they have enrolled online. Please continue to encourage students to attend these sessions throughout welcome week.
Students have been able to enrol online from 14th December to enable them to access their student IT accounts and release funding. Student’s course welcome schedules have also been available to view online using their student IT accounts. They should also have access to the Getting Started Guide which is available to view on the Hallam Welcome page.
From the beginning of January 2021 students will be able to view their student handbook. This contains details of SHU regulations and processes.
Students will be able to access the Skills module to support their transition into study.
