Open Funding Call: Stroke Association Lectureship and Reader Programme

The Stroke Association are inviting applications for our UK Lectureship Awards and a Joint Stroke Association & Health and Care Research Wales Lectureship Award in the field of stroke.

These awards aim to address succession and sustainability in the careers of stroke researchers. We aim to develop a collaborative multidisciplinary community in which to nurture and build upon the careers of early stage researchers, encourage more driven and high-calibre researchers into the field of stroke research, and ultimately start to develop the research leaders of the future in stroke research, training and clinical excellence.

Our UK Lectureship awards are available to researchers across Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.

Our Joint Stroke Association & Health and Care Research Wales Lectureship Award is available to researchers in Wales only. This year, the Stroke Association and Health and Care Research Wales are collaborating to support the rising stars in stroke research and build capacity in Wales. This collaboration will fund one jointly funded post. Should more than one application be fundable from applicants based in Wales, it is possible for more than one to be awarded from the UK-wide awards programme.

The Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Reader positions will play a critical role in building a vibrant community of clinical and non-clinical stroke researchers across the UK.

Deadline for applications: 5pm on 26 October 2018. Grants will be awarded in March 2019.
