{"id":9739,"date":"2020-12-10T09:45:31","date_gmt":"2020-12-10T09:45:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/c3riimpact\/?p=9739"},"modified":"2020-12-10T09:45:31","modified_gmt":"2020-12-10T09:45:31","slug":"survey-launched-for-anandi-ramamurthys-documentary-on-nursing-and-workplace-racism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/c3riimpact\/survey-launched-for-anandi-ramamurthys-documentary-on-nursing-and-workplace-racism\/","title":{"rendered":"Survey launched for Anandi Ramamurthy&#8217;s documentary on nursing and workplace racism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new survey has been launched to help inform an upcoming documentary on nurse experiences of workplace racism, both during and before the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>It is part of a Sheffield Hallam led project running in partnership with film company Migrant Media titled <em>Nursing Narratives: Racism and the Pandemic.<\/em> They are seeking to learn more about the different forms of racial discrimination and inequality encountered by health professionals since Covid-19 and more widely throughout their careers.<\/p>\n<p>The findings are due to be presented through a feature-length documentary film, which is expected to be released in autumn 2021, as well as through other mediums including a written report.<\/p>\n<div class=\"factfile\">\n<p><em><strong>\u201cWe want to understand the kinds of institutional and workplace racisms that all healthcare workers face\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Professor Anandi Ramamurthy said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The survey can be accessed <a href=\"https:\/\/shusls.eu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_3BO8qVxMWFqUBSd\">here<\/a> until February 2021, those who would like to be interviewed have an option to submit their contact details when completing the survey.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/shu.us18.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=03229e2cd78c49d0b6ed57f8a&amp;id=ae82112e5f&amp;e=376ef1ef71\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">Nursing Times<\/a> has covered more on the story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new survey has been launched to help inform an upcoming documentary on nurse experiences of workplace racism, both during and before the coronavirus pandemic.
