In a special online event this Saturday hosted by the Macrobert Arts Centre<\/a> at the University of Stirling,\u00a0BAFTA-nominated film From Scotland With Love<\/em><\/a> will screen with a live Zoom Q&A with the film’s award-winning director Professor Virginia Heath<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nMacrobert Arts Centre, University of Stirling (online screening)<\/strong>

The screening will be closed-captioned and there will be a BSL interpreter for the Q&A.<\/p>\n

Located at the heart of the University of Stirling, Macrobert Arts Centre<\/a> is a cultural hub for\u00a0Stirling,\u00a0the Forth Valley and\u00a0Scotland,\u00a0making\u00a0active connections with people communities and ideas, for entertainment, wellbeing and understanding<\/p>\n

Made entirely of Scottish film archive,\u00a0From Scotland With Love<\/em>\u00a0is a 75-minute film by award-winning Director and Sheffield Hallam University Professor of Film\u00a0Virginia Heath<\/a>\u00a0with a transcendent score by Scottish musician and composer\u00a0King Creosote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A journey into our collective past, the film explores universal themes of love, loss, resistance, migration, work and play. Ordinary people, some long since dead, their names and identities largely forgotten, appear shimmering from the depth of the vaults to take a starring role. Brilliantly edited together, these silent individuals become composite characters, who emerge to tell us their stories, given voice by King Creosote\u2019s poetic music and lyrics.<\/p>\n
