On 01 May, International Workers’ Day<\/strong>, there will be the online premiere of WORK<\/em><\/strong> \u2014 an artist film project that explores ideas and realities of what work means for the way we live today, engaging directly with the experiences of contemporary working lives.<\/p>\n

\"Still<\/a><\/p>\n

Included in the screening is Artist and filmmaker Professor Esther Johnson<\/a>‘s new film a ROLE to PLAY<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, which explores the impact of different experiences of work and unemployment upon families across generations in post-industrial Bolsover, a town where coal was once king.<\/p>\n

\"Still<\/a><\/p>\n

Join the ONLINE PREMIERE<\/a> of four new films that explore contemporary working lives, by artists Dryden Goodwin<\/strong>, Jenny Holt<\/strong>, Esther Johnson<\/strong> and Adam Lewis-Jacob<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A collaboration between five Midlands visual arts organisations: Animate Projects<\/a>, QUAD<\/a>, Fermynwoods Contemporary Art<\/a>, Vivid Projects<\/a> and Junction Arts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All four films will be available to watch online from 10AM on Friday 01 May.<\/p>\n
