This year’s Artist\u2019s Journey #3<\/a><\/em> will take place on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 February 2020 in the Head Post Office, Sheffield<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There is an open call for the second day and the deadline for proposals has been extended to Friday 17 January 2020.<\/p>\n

\n

Being an artist can take you to places you never thought were possible, but the paths are unclear and the maps complicated.<\/p>\n

Last year the people who we travel with joined us; journeys are enhanced by the people we meet on route, the friends who accompany us and the support of the places we go to.<\/p>\n

This year we will not be travelling far but visiting the fringes shedding light on the practices, interests and groups that operate at the edges or outside of the \u2018professional\u2019 and formal structures or economies.<\/p>\n

The Artist\u2019s Journey<\/em> is getting longer (we are adding another day) we are pleased to expand our growing partnerships and broaden our conversations during continuing political change and uncertainty. This year we will continue our partnerships with YVAN<\/a> and Bloc Projects<\/a> and welcome the National Association of Fine Art Educators<\/a> and Mansions of the Future<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The entire event is free and lunch and an evening social will be provided, so speakers and delegates are warmly invited to attend on both days.<\/p>\n

Improfessional practices \u2014 Im- :in, into, within, on, towards, against, not, and opposite the \u2018professional\u2019 \u2014 art education and informal groups.<\/em>;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
