The fifth issue of Volume 22 of The Design Journal<\/strong> has now been published, and includes a book review by Lab4Living researcher Rebecca Partridge. In his editorial, ‘It’s getting better all the time<\/a>‘, editor Prof Paul Atkinson<\/a> look back on our past experiences through the lens of the increased understanding that comes with age. He sees design as a key route through which we learn from past experiences, and strive to improve. The papers in this issue tackle this continual growth and progress.<\/p>\n

The issue includes a review by\u00a0Lab4Living researcher Rebecca Partridge of\u00a0Designing for Society: Products and Services for a Better World<\/i>, by Nynke Tromp and Paul Hekkert<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Design Journal has posted a call for papers for a special themed section on Smart Textiles<\/a>, to be guest edited by Prof Julian Malins from the University of Dundee.
