A new exhibition curated by ADRC PhD student Jeanine Griffin, is announced at\u00a0Site Gallery<\/a> in Sheffield.<\/p>\n

The exhibition<\/a>\u00a0‘A Strange Weave of Time and Place’<\/a> explores notions of aura & authenticity <\/i>in the post-digital <\/i>context.<\/p>\n

Among the artists whose work is featured are Sheffield Hallam University\u00a0Art and Design Research Centre<\/a>‘s PhD student Diana Taylor, Fine Art reader Penny McCarthy\u00a0<\/a>and recent SHU MA Fine Art\u00a0graduate Jan Hopkins.<\/p>\n

The selected works circle around the complex relations between the auratic (Walter Benjamin\u2019s <\/i>term for the authentic, original artefact, singular in space\u00a0and time), and the technologically reproduced, dispersed and viewed art object more prevalent in the current post-digital <\/i>period. Including video, sculpture, drawing, textiles, audio <\/i>and 3D printed objects.<\/i><\/p>\n

Cory Arcangel, James Clarkson, Tim Etchells, Jan Hopkins, Margarita Gluzberg, Oliver Laric, Penny McCarthy, Florian Roithmayr <\/i>and Diana Taylor.<\/i><\/p>\n
