On Monday 24th June, the fourth in a series of critical arts in health events facilitated by ADRC PhD students Julie Walters and Sarah Smizz will consider Resistance and Resilience.<\/p>\n
In this workshop we will attempt to make wearable structures with willow, and as we consider a quote from Tim Ingold\u2019s book,\u00a0Making, (Ingold 2013) we will discuss the ways in which the term\u00a0resilience\u00a0is used within health care, and how arts based practices may be seen and not seen as a form of\u00a0resistance. We will also reflect on the place that basketry has in the history of mental health care.<\/em><\/p>\n The workshop<\/a> takes place: Sheffield Hallam University The Critical Arts in Health Network was set up by Lab4Living Postgraduate students Sarah Smith and Julie Walters to explore and critique assumptions and contexts of arts in healthcare.<\/p>\n All are welcome to attend this free event.
