{"id":7204,"date":"2019-06-12T10:11:43","date_gmt":"2019-06-12T09:11:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/c3riimpact\/?p=7204"},"modified":"2019-10-15T15:38:32","modified_gmt":"2019-10-15T14:38:32","slug":"lab4living-phd-studentships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/c3riimpact\/lab4living-phd-studentships\/","title":{"rendered":"8 Lab4Living PhD studentships announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Lab4Living is pleased to announce 8 new PD studentships in Art and Design.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We invite PhD applications from candidates interested in joining\u00a0<a class=\"noWrap inheritFont\" href=\"https:\/\/lab4living.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Lab4Living<\/a>: a design led interdisciplinary research group at Sheffield Hallam University, recognised for its world-leading research in design for health and award-winning products and interventions that positively impact on people&#8217;s lives. Lab4Living has secured national funding to build the <strong>next generation<\/strong> of design research leaders in this field.<\/p>\n<p>The award makes provision for <strong>eight full-time PhD studentships<\/strong> to support design led research projects that explore the <a href=\"https:\/\/lab4living.org.uk\/projects\/the-100-year-life-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>100-Year Life<\/strong><\/a>, with a particular focus on the <strong>Future Home<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>One in three children born in the UK today can expect to live to be 100 and by 2066 one in two children will reach this milestone (ONS 2018).
