Processes of HCI design and evaluation approaches for museums are also discussed.\u00a0This book is designed for students and early career researchers in HCI or Interaction Design, for more seasoned investigators who might approach the museum domain for the first time, and for researchers and practitioners in related fields such as heritage and museum studies or visitor studies. The book is the first resource for practitioners and students that provides overviews of the key issues in the study and design of human-computer interactions in museums. Examples, reflections, and illustrations from the authors\u2019 extensive experience are included.<\/span><\/p>\n

The book will also be available for purchase at the Morgan & Claypool stand at CHI 2019 in Glasgow in May.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eva Hornecker<\/strong><\/a> is a Professor in\u00a0Human-Computer Interaction\u00a0at the Bauhaus-Universit\u00e4t Weimar. Her work is located at the intersection between technology, design, and the social sciences. Her research interests focus on the design and user experience of \u2018beyond the desktop\u2019 interaction.<\/p>\n

Luigina Ciolfi<\/strong><\/a> works<\/span>\u00a0at the intersection of computing, social science and design. Luigina is Professor of Human Centred Computing in C3RI<\/a> at Sheffield Hallam University. In her research, she applies qualitative methodologies from design and social science for understanding domains for technology use, guiding and facilitating the design process and conducting evaluation in-situ.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
