{"id":6343,"date":"2013-12-01T12:00:57","date_gmt":"2013-12-01T12:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/c3riimpact\/?p=6343"},"modified":"2019-04-01T13:59:54","modified_gmt":"2019-04-01T12:59:54","slug":"lab4living-simon-denegri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/c3riimpact\/lab4living-simon-denegri\/","title":{"rendered":"Lab4Living hosts Simon Denegri on behalf of CLAHRC SY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 18 December 2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/lab4living.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lab4Living<\/a> hosted a session chaired by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheffield.ac.uk\/scharr\/sections\/hsr\/rrg\/members\/sue_mawson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professor Sue Mawson<\/a> (Director of <a href=\"http:\/\/clahrc-sy.nihr.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLAHRC SY<\/a>) for special guest <a href=\"https:\/\/simondenegri.com\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Simon Denegri<\/a>. Simon is Chair of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.invo.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INVOLVE<\/a> and National Institute for Health Research (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NIHR<\/a>) National Director for Public Participation and Engagement in Research. The session gave Lab4Living a platform to showcase some of the novel ways in which design research engages with patients, public and industry.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the session was twofold:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To explore how human centred design can respond to the drivers for patient and public involvement in the health and wealth agenda, with a focus on the medical technologies industry;<\/li>\n<li>To explore the unique range of models in design theory and practice, which engages patients and the public in co-production and enables them to be involved at different stages of research and development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/85925697\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This video<\/a> gives a summary of the visit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 18 December 2013 Lab4Living hosted a session chaired by Professor Sue Mawson (Director of CLAHRC SY) for special guest Simon Denegri.
