Rachael Colley<\/a> is an interdisciplinary artist and senior lecturer in Jewellery and Metalwork at Sheffield Institute of Arts<\/a>, Sheffield Hallam University. She gained an MA in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery from the Royal College of Art in 2010. Her current research brings together jewellery – created predominantly using food waste – and ambiguous artefacts for eating. She invites diners to wear these visceral jewellery pieces whilst consuming food with alternative dining tools.<\/p>\n

The exhibition includes pieces made food waste such as mango stones; raspberry and blackberry seeds; orange, apple, banana, beetroot, carrot and avocado peel\/skins; out of date\u00a0bacon and beef.<\/p>\n

Alongside this exhibition Rachael will be holding a series of lunchtime events each Wednesday, where participants will have the opportunity to take part in her research. Individuals will be encouraged to wear an item of her jewellery and use her ambiguous implements to dine with, sharing this experience with others. If you’re interested in participating in one of these events please contact Rachael via\u00a0email\u00a0<\/a>to book your place – bookings will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis.<\/p>\n
