{"id":6156,"date":"2017-04-01T09:00:13","date_gmt":"2017-04-01T08:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/c3riimpact\/?p=6156"},"modified":"2019-02-26T13:32:27","modified_gmt":"2019-02-26T13:32:27","slug":"lab4living-at-the-design-and-emotion-conference-in-amsterdam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.shu.ac.uk\/c3riimpact\/lab4living-at-the-design-and-emotion-conference-in-amsterdam\/","title":{"rendered":"Lab4Living at the Design and Emotion Conference in Amsterdam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lab4Living were well-represented at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.designandemotion.org\/en\/conferences\/amsterdam-2016.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Design and Emotion conference<\/a> in Amsterdam. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/paul-chamberlain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Chamberlain<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/claire-craig\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Claire Craig<\/a> and Tom Maisey joined 300 delegates over the 3 days of the conference to engage in discourse on a wide-ranging number of topics. These included the role of design in end of life care, design, emotion and sustainability and the role of creative practice and design in the context of people living with long term conditions such as dementia.<\/p>\n<p>A number of pieces from the collection <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/research\/specialisms\/cultural-communication-and-computing-research-institute\/what-we-do\/projects\/design\/hospitable\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>HOSPITAbLe<\/em><\/a> were exhibited as part of the conference and these formed a focus of a workshop led by Paul and Claire examining the relationship between hospital and home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lab4Living were well-represented at the Design and Emotion conference in Amsterdam.
