Wilson Drama Studio<\/a>, University of Cambridge<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Monday 19 November 2018, 7.30PM<\/strong><br \/>\nFor more information please see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.english.cam.ac.uk\/news\/archives\/4345\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Anna Moschovakis is the author most recently of the novel\u00a0<em>Eleanor, or, The Rejection of the Progress of Love\u00a0<\/em>(Coffee House Press, 2018).\u00a0 Her books of poetry include the James Laughlin award-winning\u00a0<em>You and Three Others Are Approaching a Lake<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>They and We Will Get Into Trouble for This.<\/em>\u00a0 Her translations from French include Albert Cossery\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Jokers<\/em>, Annie Ernaux\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Possession<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Bresson on Bresson<\/em>, and experimental translations of and with the Algerian poet Samira Negrouche.\u00a0\u00a0 She is a longtime member of the publishing collective\u00a0Ugly Duckling Presse\u00a0and a co-founder of\u00a0Bushel, an art and community space in Delhi, NY.<\/p>\n<p>Charlotte Collins is the co-Chair of the UK Translators Association. She studied English at Cambridge University, and worked as an actor and radio journalist in Germany and the UK before becoming a literary translator. She was awarded the 2017 Helen and Kurt Wolff Prize for her\u00a0translation of Robert Seethaler\u2019s\u00a0<i>A\u00a0Whole Life,<\/i>\u00a0which was\u00a0also shortlisted for the Dublin Literary Prize and the Man Booker International. Collins\u2019s other translations include Seethaler\u2019s\u00a0<i>The Tobacconist<\/i>, Nina Haratischwill\u2019s\u00a0novel\u00a0<i>The Eighth Life\u00a0<\/i>and<i>\u00a0<\/i>play\u00a0<i>Liv Stein,\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0<i>Whitebreadmusic,<\/i>\u00a0a play by<i>\u00a0<\/i>Sasha\u00a0Marianna Salzmann. Her latest publication is\u00a0<i>Homeland<\/i>\u00a0by Walter Kempowski (Granta, November 2018).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/sharon-kivland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Sharon Kivland<\/a>\u00a0is a Reader in Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University and\u00a0an artist, writer, editor, publisher, an occasional and reluctant curator and translator, sometimes (and to her surprise) called a poet, who lives and works in France and the UK. Her work considers what is put at stake by art, politics, and psychoanalysis.
