Susannah Gent<\/a>\u2019s short film Influence of Mars<\/em> has been selected for the Kasseler Dokfest<\/a>, a festival specialising in documentary and experimental work in Kassel, Germany and taking place this November. The film was selected from over 3,000 submissions. Influence of Mars<\/em>\u00a0was originally produced as part of the Solar: Walking at the Speed of Light<\/em><\/a>\u00a0app for the Catalyst Festival of Creativity in 2017. Since then the film has been screened at the Hamburg Short Film Festival in 2017, the Short Film Festival of Oberhausen in 2018, and Chapel Allerton Film Festival.<\/p>\n

The film explores psychological territorialism through showing Susannah\u2019s ten-year old son\u2019s fascination with weapons, and expands Susannah\u2019s research interests that include using film to expose the human and reveal unconscious undercurrents in ideology and behaviour.<\/p>\n
