Reader in Fine Art\u00a0Dr Sharon Kivland<\/a> will feature her work\u00a0The Terror is nothing other than prompt, severe, inflexible justice<\/em> in an international project showcasing\u00a0clothes in art outside of the context of the fashion industry next month at the <\/span>Garage Museum of Contemporary Art<\/a> in Moscow. The exhibition, entitled\u00a0<\/span>The Fabric of Felicity<\/em><\/a>\u00a0spans five continents and features over forty artists, including representatives of historical avant-gardes, members of the Soviet and Brazilian underground art scenes, and new generation artists from Russia, Japan, USA, Zimbabwe, and other countries. Sharon Kivland\u2019s installation investigates and allegorises the dress codes of the French Revolution.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Fabric of Felicity<\/em>\u00a0is the result of a thought experiment. What happens when we erase fashion from the conversation between garments and art? What kind of questions arise when there is no common ground where art and clothes habitually meet?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
