NORTHERN LIGHT 2018: PROXIMITY AND DISTANCE<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Yorkshire Artspace<\/a>, 21 Brown Street, Sheffield S1 2BS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tuesday 03 July – Saturday 21 July 2018 (Private view on Monday 02 July)<\/strong><\/p>\n

To coincide with this year\u2019s Northern Light conference<\/a>, Sheffield Hallam University are holding an exhibition of contemporary landscape photography, at the Yorkshire Artspace<\/a>, exploring critical issues arising from the photographic representation of the northern landscape.<\/p>\n

\"Northern<\/a><\/p>\n

Artists\u00a0at any stage of their career who are principally concerned with landscape photography. were invited to submit a single image, relating to the theme of Proximity and Distance.<\/p>\n

The exhibition was open to a variety of styles and approaches, and particularly welcomed any contributions from artists whose work is centred within a particular geographical location, such as northern Britain, northern Europe, the Nordic countries, Canada, Alaska, Siberia, and Russia.<\/p>\n

\"Image<\/a><\/p>\n

The accolade of ‘Best in Show’ (accompanied by a prize to the value of \u00a3100), will be judged by esteemed photographer John Kippin<\/a>, Emeritus Professor in Photography at the University of Sunderland.<\/p>\n
