Title: The film-maker as \u201cparticipant-witness and an active fabricator of meaning\u201d – developing an archive based feature documentary film.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In this seminar Peter will discuss practical, creative and conceptual considerations in developing his short film\u00a0The Archive<\/em>\u00a0into a feature length documentary.<\/p>\n

Screened at this year\u2019s Sheffield Doc\/Fest<\/a> and Cannes Short Film Corner\u00a0The Archive<\/em>\u00a0tells the incredible story of lawyer David Drucker who was pursued for decades by J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI.\u00a0Always travelling with a Bolex 16mm camera, David captured stunning footage on his travels around the world. However, FBI agents were never far behind also documenting his every move.<\/p>\n

\"Promotional<\/a><\/p>\n

Currently teaching a number of film theory modules on the Film and Media Production undergraduate course, Peter is also an award-winning film-maker whose work has screened widely on the international festival circuit including Toronto WWSFF, Hamburg, Sheffield Doc\/Fest, Sydney, Edinburgh, Cambridge and the London Short Film Festival. His work has received funding and support from the UK Film Council, the British Council, the David Lean Foundation and Screen Yorkshire.<\/p>\n
