They are based around journeys that take us from design to digital, 2D to 3D, conceptual to skills-based contemporary art and explore a host of maker practices within the city.<\/p>\n<p>May&#8217;s walk is on the theme of <em>city life <\/em>and will be\u00a0led by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.villeneau.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sarah Villeneau<\/a>, a ceramicist based at Yorkshire Artspace. Meeting at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www4.shu.ac.uk\/sia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sheffield Institute of Arts<\/a>\u00a0located in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www4.shu.ac.uk\/sia\/institute\/head-post-office.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Head Post Office<\/a>, the walk will begin with Joanne Rucklidge, Joanne Lee and Frazer Hudson&#8217;s exhibition\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www4.shu.ac.uk\/sia\/events\/event-listing.html?event=271\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Utter<\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www4.shu.ac.uk\/sia\/events\/event-listing.html?event=271\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"> Rubbish<\/a>, featuring a talk and tour by Joanne Lee; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.35chapelwalk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">35 Chapel Walk Gallery<\/a>&#8216;s exhibition <em>Sheffield: A Relationship to Buildings<\/em>\u00a0and Andrew Hunt&#8217;s\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/artspace.org.uk\/articles\/coming-soon-to-persistence-works-gallery-andrew-hunt-portraits-from-the-market\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Portraits from the Market\u00a0<\/a><\/em>at Yorkshire Artspace Persistence Works.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www4.shu.ac.uk\/sia\/events\/event-listing.html?event=271\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Utter Rubbish: Conversations about litter and waste<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>is\u00a0an exhibition by Sheffield Hallam University\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/frazer-hudson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frazer Hudson<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/joanne-lee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joanne Lee<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/joanna-rucklidge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joanna Rucklidge<\/a>; and a project about our complex relationship to discarded materials. It attends to the everyday instances of littering and fly-tipping that blight the city of Sheffield as elsewhere, and considers the resources wasted when we fail to recycle the rubbish our society so readily generates.
