With more archive releases in the last year with big name artists each year including <a href=\"http:\/\/asunder1916.uk\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asunder<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/esther-johnson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Esther Johnson<\/a> \/ score by Field Music and Warm Digits) and Arcadia (Paul Wright \/ score by Will Gregory (Goldfrapp) and Adrian Utley (Portishead)), we ask what is the enduring appeal of the genre, how has it become a staple of live cinema internationally, and how can filmmakers and producers get involved? Join archive curators, exhibitors and artists to explore the future of the live score to archive film.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/esther-johnson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Esther Johnson<\/a>\u00a0works at the intersection of artist moving image and documentary. Her poetic portraits focus on marginal worlds, revealing resonant stories that may otherwise remain hidden or ignored. Work has been exhibited internationally in 40 countries, and has also featured on television and radio. In 2012 Johnson won the Philip Leverhulme Prize in Performing and Visual Arts for young scholars. She is a Professor of Film &amp; Media Art at Sheffield Hallam University.
