The context where the technologies will operate and how they relate to the end users\u2019 lives are key factors. Involvement of end users throughout the process is therefore key to successful adoption.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Researchers in <a href=\"http:\/\/lab4living.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lab4Living<\/a> at Sheffield Hallam University have dedicated the last four months to engaging with end users to build understanding of what people aged between 50-70 identify as key requirements of the Novel Empowering Solutions and Technologies for Older people to Retain Everyday life activites (<a href=\"https:\/\/nestore.ro\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NESTORE<\/a>)\u00a0system.<\/p>\n<p>To date researchers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/claire-craig\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Claire Craig<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/paul-chamberlain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Chamberlain<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/nick-dulake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nick Dulake<\/a> have facilitated workshops with community-living older people using a co-design methodology called \u201cexhibition-in-a-box\u201d.
