Find out more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailystar.co.uk\/news\/weird-news\/659897\/Alien-UFO-Pictures-Files-Secret-Britain-Ministry-of-Defence-ET-Spaceship-Book-Sketches\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/david-clarke\" target=\"_blank\">Dr David Clarke<\/a>, Principal Research Fellow in Journalism in the Communications and Computing Research Centre, was recently invited by art book publisher, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fourcornersbooks.co.uk\/about\/\">Four Corners Books<\/a>\u00a0to produce a book of UFO drawings.<\/p>\n<p>An expert in UFO history and Britain&#8217;s so-called &#8216;X-Files&#8217;,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/david-clarke\" target=\"_blank\">David<\/a>\u00a0has selected images\u00a0from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalarchives.gov.uk\/ufos\/\">The National Archives<\/a> to present a visual history of British UFO art. \u00a0The book reveals\u00a0the remarkable stories behind these images, including an alien craft on the A1, flying saucers over Hampstead, and a spaceship landing at a primary school in Macclesfield.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fourcornersbooks.co.uk\/books\/ufo-drawings\/\"><em>UFO Drawings From The National Archives<\/em><\/a> is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fourcornersbooks.co.uk\/books\/series\/irregulars\/\">Four Corners Irregulars<\/a>, a series about modern British visual history. Three books will be published in autumn 2017, with further titles to follow, presenting introductions to important but overlooked areas of creativity.<\/p>\n<p>The National Archives is the official archive and publisher for the UK Government, and for England and Wales. It works to bring together and secure the future of the public record, both digital and physical, for future generations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>Book launch<\/h6>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fourcornersbooks.co.uk\/\">Four Corners Books<\/a> will host a book launch\u00a0for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fourcornersbooks.co.uk\/books\/ufo-drawings\/\"><em>UFO Drawings from the National Archives<\/em><\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/david-clarke\" target=\"_blank\">Dr David Clarke<\/a>\u00a0on <strong>Tuesday 19\u00a0September<\/strong> at <strong>The Astronomer in Bishopsgate, central London<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update &#8211; 14 November 2017: Dr Clarke was interviewed for the Daily Star and spoke about his work and the book today.
