Made entirely of Scottish film archive, From Scotland With Love<\/a><\/em> is a 75-minute film by award-winning Director and Sheffield Hallam University Professor of Film Virginia Heath<\/a> with a transcendent score by Scottish musician and composer King Creosote<\/a>. A journey into our collective past, the film explores universal themes of love, loss, resistance, migration, work and play. Ordinary people, some long since dead, their names and identities largely forgotten, appear shimmering from the depth of the vaults to take a starring role.<\/p>\n

The film will be screening twice on Friday 20 October at Dundee’s Verdant Works<\/a>, a former jute mill converted into a museum telling Dundee’s social and textile history. One screening will be part of the Great Tapestry of Scotland events programme and one in conjunction with the Dundee Literary Festival<\/a>.
