Joanne Lee<\/a> (Senior Lecturer of Graphic Design at Sheffield Hallam University) has been invited by Finnish artistic researcher Dr Lena S\u00e9raphin<\/a> to participate in a multilingual writing project in Finland between 14 and 18 August 2017. <\/p>\n

This is supported by The Pro Artibus foundation<\/a>, a non-profit organization situated in Eken\u00e4s \/ Tammisaari (on the coast west of Helsinki) and will also involve Minna Heikinaho, Ulrika Gomm, Behzad Khosravi Noori, Moa Franz\u00e9n, Pia Sandstr\u00f6m, Jaime Mena de Torres and others TBC. It emerges out of previous writing\/research based on the techniques and approach of French writer Georges Perec<\/a>, whose work focuses on the everyday and overlooked.<\/p>\n

The writers will work alone and together to develop a publication. Radio V\u00e4stnyland-YLE (the Finnish national broadcasting company) will make a radio programme on the writing process including interviews and excerpts of texts. A reporter will be following the working process. There will be readings in various venues in Eken\u00e4s \/ Tammisaari throughout the week.<\/p>\n

Joanne Lee<\/a> is a senior lecturer in Graphic Design in the Art & Design Research Centre<\/a> (ADRC). Much of her research develops through a serial publication, the Pam Flett Press<\/a>, which explores the visual, verbal and temporal possibilities of \u2018essaying\u2019 the everyday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
