Michelle Atherton<\/a> (Fine Art, SHU) and TC McCormack<\/a> (Fine Art, SHU) in collaboration with Danish artist Jette Gejl<\/a> will be resident at KH7artspace<\/a> in Denmark for a period of eight days working on a new project entitled the Simulated Heritage Laboratory<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n17 July 2017 – 24 July 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a collaborative research project investigating new and alternative formations of heritage. The laboratory poses such questions as to the importance of intangible and dissonant heritage and notes how it comes in different guises; both official and unofficial, with the latter often being subversive of the former. This will involve an ongoing series of experiments, material tests and conversations around their theme of Dirty Magic<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Everyday the public is invited to come and test, participate and discuss ideas in the Simulated Heritage Laboratory<\/em>, culminating in an exhibition of new artworks and public event on Monday 24 July. The results from the research laboratory will go to form an archive to be featured for public consumption; in a book, website and future exhibitions.<\/p>\n
