The Association for Contemporary Jewellery<\/a> (ACJ) is bringing an agenda of promoting the artform, supporting the makers and developing the audience in the UK and abroad this week, as part of a 3-day conference between Friday 07 July and Sunday 09 July 2017.<\/p>\n

As part of the programme members of the Art & Design Research Centre<\/a> will be giving sessions and talks, including Professor Christoph Zellweger<\/a> discussing The Cultured Body – an artistic investigation<\/em>, Maria Hanson<\/a> discussing Making as Agency: a jeweller\u2019s reflection<\/em> and Dr C\u00f3il\u00edn \u00d3 Dubhghaill<\/a> presenting a session titled Mikana: new forms of mokume gane<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Other speakers confirmed for the conference include Boris Bally (USA), Elizabeth Shaw (Australia), Melissa Cameron (USA), Johanna Zellmer (NZ \/ Germany) Simon Fraser (UK) and many more. For a full programme please see here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The conference takes place in and around Cantor Building<\/a> at Sheffield Hallam University, but also features a trip to the Sheffield Assay Office<\/a> in Hillsborough.<\/p>\n
