Professor Paul Atkinson<\/a> has been invited to take\u00a0part in an event celebrating computing at Bletchley Park where Alan Turing and others did the work in breaking German codes used in WWII.\u00a0The week-long event, organised by Kellogg College, University of Oxford<\/a>, will comprise a number of activities centred\u00a0on cyber-security, computing and mathematics.<\/p>\n

\"Bletchley<\/a><\/p>\n

Paul will be speaking at an afternoon event dedicated to historical and cultural perspectives on Bletchley Park on Friday 9 June 2017.\u00a0It is planned that this event will also host three of the designers involved in The Imitation Game<\/a><\/em>\u00a0to talk about re-creating Bletchley for the film and\u00a0the novelist Lucy Ribchester<\/a> to talk about her Bletchley-based novel The Amber Shadows<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n
