Our unique space in the heart of the city is a vibrant hub, playing host to an exhibition, seminars, workshops, an Open Day and Lab4Living Cinema Club<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<h2>MA Design For Health Open Day<\/h2>\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">On 8 March, Sheffield Hallam University has its first\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/visit-us\/postgraduate-open-days\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Post-graduate open day<\/a>\u00a0of the year. Course leader\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/carlos-peralta-mahecha\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr Carlos Peralta<\/a>\u00a0hosted prospective students for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/courses\/art-and-design\/ma-design-for-health\/full-time\/2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MA Design For Health<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/courses\/art-and-design\/pgcert-lab-for-living\/full-time\/2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PGCert courses<\/a>\u00a0in the White Building. This month, Graham Nesbitt hosts a session exploring the notion of identity, perception, and deception while pushing the audience to value the power of storytelling and its endless creativity. Contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:n.soula@shu.ac.uk\">No\u00e9mie Soula<\/a>\u00a0if you\u2019re a staff member or SHU student who would like to join us at the next session.<\/p>\n<h2>Other events this month<\/h2>\n<h3>SHINDIG: Sheffield Dementia Involvement Group<\/h3>\n<p>Once again, Lab4Living (including PhD researcher and OT\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lab4living.org.uk\/projects\/phd-i-know-what-i-like\/\">Marney Walker<\/a>) welcomed SHINDIG to the White Building, a group which meets four times per year. The group offers people with dementia and their supporters informal networking and the opportunity to have their voice heard around a particular topic or proposal for local services. SHINDIG is part of the Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project (DEEP) national network of dementia voices.<\/p>\n<h3>Beautiful Voice workshop<\/h3>\n<p>Later this month,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-people\/staff-profiles\/joe-langley\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Joe Langley<\/a> and Ursula Ankeny will be running another workshop on the Beautiful Voice project, which supports people who have had a stroke which affects their speech.
