Maud Haya-Baviera’s work is included in a new exhibition opening at Graves Gallery in Sheffield. This exhibition, curated by artist\u00a0<\/span>Victoria<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Lucas, is centred around JMW Turner\u2019s painting\u00a0The Festival of the Opening of the Vintage at M\u00e2con<\/i>.<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

PostNatures<\/em> sees Lucas draw on the constructed composition of Turner\u2019s painting to highlight how imaginary subjects can affect our individual or cultural perceptions of reality.\u00a0The exhibition features a range of artworks and objects from Sheffield\u2019s collections which depict other representations of the relationship between women and nature, alongside recent works from\u00a0Victoria\u00a0Lucas and the Heavy Water Collective<\/strong> (comprising artists Maud Haya-Baviera<\/a>, Joanna Whittle and Victoria Lucas). Together, they invite us to rethink and further explore ideas of the feminine in nature.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is generously supported by the Ampersand Foundation and will run until 23 Dec 2023.<\/p>\n
