The exhibition is hosted by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/access-space.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Access Space<\/a>\u00a0at Event Central on Fargate, a vibrant cultural community hub in Sheffield\u2019s city centre. Marney\u2019s research is exploring how design can support the expression of everyday aesthetic preferences in dementia. She is using visual ways to talk to people with and without dementia about what they like and why:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lovely mug ugly mug<\/strong>\u00a0uses a familiar everyday object to start the conversation<\/li>\n<li><strong>Colour choices<\/strong>\u00a0provokes us to think about our personal preferences<\/li>\n<li><strong>Favourite<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>spaces\u00a0<\/strong>in the home are re-presented as models<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Marney will be sharing some of her findings. There will also be a chance for you to reflect on your own likes and dislikes. Choose from a selection of mugs and colours. Is there a meaning or an association for your choices?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Marney has a combination of experience in design and occupational therapy. She specialises in\u00a0advising on the\u00a0design of inclusive and accessible housing.
