Hallam Lecturer,\u00a0Dr James Fenwick<\/a>\u00a0will be talking about the influential filmmaker, Stanley Kubrick at the free\u00a0Disrupting Dominance in the Archive conference<\/a>\u00a0in London’s University of the Arts on 5 and 6 December.<\/p>\n

Some of Kubrick’s best-known\u00a0directorial works include\u00a0Spartacus<\/em>,\u00a0The Shining<\/em>,\u00a02001: A Space Odyssey<\/em>,\u00a0The Killing<\/em>,\u00a0Dr Strangelove<\/em>,\u00a0Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Eyes Wide Shut.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Stanley Kubrick Lecture is an annual fixture at this popular conference. This year, James’ talk will focus on the broad use of Kubrick’s film archive, including historical research. He’ll also outline his ongoing research for a\u00a0forthcoming book, Archive Histories: An Archaeology of the Stanley Kubrick Archive.<\/p>\n
