Between 14-16 October, artist-researchers from CCRI exhibited at No Bounds<\/em> Festival of electronic music, contemporary art and new technology<\/a> across two sites curated by Innovation Manager, Amy Carter Gordon. Moore Street substation hosted No\u00e9mie Soula, Lab4Living, presenting Mythical Living Data<\/em> \u2018a striking audio-visual piece\u2019 to two hugely oversubscribed sold-out days of tours in the working electrical substation.<\/p>\n

Sheffield and District African Caribbean\u00a0Community Association hosted <\/span>God\u2019<\/em>s Eye View IV (Conflict)<\/em> by Prof. David Cotterrell exploring data visualis<\/span>ation projections based on an old army manu<\/span>al onto a<\/span>n imp<\/span>ressive 5x5M dome with sound installation by collaborator Shelly Knotts. Prof. Lise Autogena and Joshua Portway filled the space with oil dripping at precisely the rate that the oceans are rising with their installation <\/span>196.85 ml\/h.<\/em> The festival received a <\/span>4-star Guardian review<\/a> highlighting<\/span>\u00a0the role that art can play in place-making, with the choice of venues speaking to the history and culture of the city.<\/span><\/p>\n
