Professor Virginia Heath<\/a>\u2019s BAFTA-nominated feature documentary film, From Scotland With Love<\/em><\/a>, is screening with a Director Q&A at the Phosphorescence<\/em> Festival of Dance<\/a> on Saturday 16\u00a0October 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom Scotland With Love<\/em>, Virginia Heath\u2019s hypnotic archive film with transcendent musical score by Scottish composer King Creosote, offers a cinematic reflection on 20th century human experience.<\/p>\n

We’re delighted to have Virginia join us for a post-screening Q&A to talk about the process of making the film; telling stories through gesture and movement and how the film celebrates a sense of community.<\/p>\n

Conceived and created over the length of a year for Glasgow Commonwealth Games, the film was BAFTA Scotland Nominated 2014 for Best Feature Documentary\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A journey into our collective past, the film explores universal themes of love, loss, resistance, migration, work and play. Ordinary people, some long since dead, their names and identities largely forgotten, appear shimmering from the depth of the vaults to take a starring role.<\/p>\n
